About us
Tambopata Infierno was born as a community-based experiential tourism initiative developed together with the Ese Eja Community of Infierno, in the heart of the Tambopata National Reserve.
We represent a way of protecting something increasingly rare today: an authentic relationship between people, nature, and time.
In an era shaped by speed, disconnection, and the constant consumption of superficial experiences, this project proposes something different:
- To offer authentic experiences that allow travelers to discover the Amazon through a more human, conscious, and respectful relationship.
- Every experience seeks to create genuine connection between visitors, nature, and community, while also promoting environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and sustainable local development.
- But it also seeks to provoke something more intimate: That visitors return home seeing the world differently.
ESE EJA INFIERNO
Native Community
The Ese Eja call themselves “the true people.”
For generations, they have inhabited the Amazon territory while developing a deeply integrated relationship with the forest, the river, and the natural cycles surrounding them.
Today, while much of the world moves toward increasingly accelerated and isolated ways of living, their culture preserves knowledge and sensitivities that invite reflection on other possible ways of existing.
Sharing part of this knowledge with conscious travelers also becomes a way of preserving culture, identity, and territory.
