Itinerary

Preparation

The preparation for this ceremony consists of doing a strict diet 10 days before without taking any type of pill and about 3 to 4 days before without alcoholic beverages and without eating heavy foods such as res or pork, once the diet is done we are ready. The ceremony is at night, it starts at 9 pm with a duration of 4 to 5 hours accompanied and guided by the shaman. Openness is very important, believing in the spiritual to connect with nature and the spirits of plants.

Day 1

Pick up at the airport or land terminal. We moved to the native community that eja of hell where our stay will be. The Eja family welcomes us with a welcome to the heart of the Hell community.

LUNCH

Boat trip

We walked about 15 minutes to the port of embarkation. We boarded the boat and sailed upriver through the Tambopata. We open our senses and prepare for the sighting of wild animals that live on the banks of the rivers: alligators, ronsocos, turtles or the impressive Jaguar. herons, macaws and toucans are seen in the tops of the trees or showing off their flight over the horizon of the river. We are familiar with the fauna and this vast ecosystem.

This is a tour of about 3 hours, in the evening we will be able to appreciate one of the most emblematic gifts of this place, to appreciate the sunset from the river. A spectacle of contrasts that inspires.

The sky darkens, but our senses are sharpened. It’s time to search for the white alligator and nocturnal animals. Our guide will use a powerful beacon and its experienced ability to search between the edges that brightness that the eyes of the alligators reflect in the direct light. Here patience and stillness is key to being able to locate them. We will approach a prudent distance to be able to appreciate in detail these reptiles.

Day 2

Introduction walk

We will take a walk with our shaman guide inside the forest. The purpose is to recognize traditional plants and their different properties. Also giant trees like Lupuna. In addition, we will listen to ancestral myths that are part of the gaze of that Eja to the world.

Visit to the native community of Hell and conversation with the oldest people called Sages. They have a deeper knowledge about the history of the community that Eja, its culture and worldview. This experience is unique in the Amazon since it is not easy to reach a sage that Eja. Being us native to the community, we have the privilege of approaching them and sharing this special encounter with you.

There is no dinner

Ayahuasca ceremony

The Ayahuasca ceremony begins at 9 pm, accompanied by our experienced shaman from the Eja Eja Eja de Infierno community. At approximately 1am it ends and the cleaning of the ceremony by the shaman begins. This happens at the end of the spiritual experience where our teacher uses tobacco and blows everything around, clearing the dirty spirits that were worked on or removed during the ceremony.

Day 3

Meditation and rest

In the morning I rest and meditation. Conversation with the shaman to explore and analyze what was experienced during the ceremony.

Spiritual bath with healing plants

In the afternoon, a bathing ceremony is held with healing plants using its properties to cleanse the physical body and also cleanse yourself spiritually, it will be something special because we will do it inside the forest in a small ravine. Here your current will take all the bad energy you have in the spirit.

Day 4

BREAKFAST

Collection walk

We will take a walk in the forest and collect barks, leaves, seeds and roots of some healing plants and learn how to prepare our own natural medicine.

LUNCH

After our lunch is the preparation of the medicinal plants collected in the morning, we will use a small machete, also alcohol or sugar cane and honey.

Day 5

Meditation and rest

In the morning I rest and meditation. Conversation with the shaman to explore and analyze what was experienced during the ceremony.

Spiritual Cleansing Bath

After our lunch, the second part of the bathroom will be held with healing plants and then have a light meal and then rest.

Day 6

BREAKFAST

RETURN

After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the jungle and head back to the city of Puerto Maldonado. Our transport will take us to the airport or terminal in Puerto Maldonado. It’s time to say until the next one to the family that eja. Good trip!
